This English text is a courtesy translation. SQuant Desk is a Chilean entity and the Spanish version is the legally binding one — if the two ever differ, the Spanish text prevails. Read the Spanish version.
1. DATA CONTROLLER
SQuant Desk ("we", "the Company") is the controller of the personal data collected through the Platform. You can reach us at: alonsomoyanoreyes@gmail.com
2. DATA WE COLLECT
We collect only the data needed to provide the service: (a) Account data: name, email address and password (stored as a bcrypt hash). (b) Usage data: actions within the Platform, configured alerts, display preferences. (c) Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system and pages visited, for security and service improvement.
We do not collect payment data directly. Payments are processed by an external PCI-DSS certified provider; we only store an anonymised subscription identifier.
3. PURPOSE AND LEGAL BASIS
We process your data to: (a) Provide the contracted service — legal basis: performance of the contract. (b) Send transactional communications (confirmations, security alerts) — legal basis: performance of the contract. (c) Send marketing communications (news, model updates) — legal basis: express consent, revocable at any time. (d) Improve the service and detect fraud — legal basis: legitimate interest.
4. DATA RETENTION
We keep your personal data while your account is active. After cancellation, data is deleted within a maximum of 90 days, unless we are legally required to retain it.
Anonymised usage data may be kept indefinitely for aggregate statistical analysis.
5. SHARING WITH THIRD PARTIES
We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. We share data only with: (a) Cloud infrastructure providers acting as processors under contract and with adequate safeguards. (b) Payment providers, limited to the data needed to process the transaction. (c) Public authorities where legally required.
6. SECURITY
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data: encryption in transit (TLS 1.3), encryption at rest (AES-256), two-factor authentication available, and internal access controls based on least privilege.
In the event of a security breach affecting your data, we will notify you within the timeframes established by applicable regulation.
7. YOUR RIGHTS
Under Chilean Law No. 19.628 on the Protection of Private Life and applicable regulation, you have the right to access, rectify and delete your data, and to object to its processing.
To exercise any of these rights, write to alonsomoyanoreyes@gmail.com stating your request and your account email. We will respond within a maximum of 30 business days.
8. COOKIES
We use strictly necessary cookies for session functionality and first-party analytics cookies (no third parties) to measure Platform usage. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
You can configure your browser to reject cookies, although some Platform features may be affected.
9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Policy periodically. We will notify material changes by email at least 15 days in advance. Continued use of the Platform after the changes take effect implies acceptance.
